The BBQ Flavour smoking boards can be used with direct heat by placing the board directly on the grill, but also with indirect heat by using a heat shield. The use of a heat shield will extend the life of the smoking boards. When using direct heat, the smoking boards will wear down faster, but will give the ingredients a more intense smoke flavor. The smoking boards are perfect for smoking smaller pieces of eel, pork, sausage and salmon.
